About the Pentecost Offering
Typically received on the Sunday before and the Sunday of Pentecost, this special offering supports church growth efforts. Half of each gift stays within the region where it was given, directly funding that region’s work in starting new faith communities. The other half goes to New Church Ministry at the national level, which provides training, resources, and guidance to new and affiliating congregations and their leaders throughout the U.S. and Canada—helping them take root and grow as part of a movement for wholeness.
You can find the date for Pentecost (and other Easter cycle holy days) here.
To support local congregations in receiving this offering, the Disciples Mission Fund website annually makes resources available, including logos, graphics, music, videos and print materials. Find downloadable materials to support receiving the Pentecost Offering here.
