Ecumenical Junior Camp

OSWI Region partners with the United Methodist Church to offer a summer camping experience for young children who have completed grades 1-5. They experience God in the out-of-doors and in community, with opportunities for worship as well as all kinds of camp fun.

Middle and High School Camp

Our Region offers an annual five day summer camping experience for those who have completed grades 6 through 12. Campers have opportunities for worship, faith formation activities, small group sharing and of course plenty of summer camp fun.

About Suttle Lake

The Central Oregon Cascades area is renowned for its sunny weather, mountain peak vistas, ponderosa pine forests, clear lakes and streams, and many year-round recreational opportunities. Nestled on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains fourteen miles west of Sisters, Suttle Lake Camp is a special place where the vivid green of Western Oregon mingles with the sunny beauty of the eastern part of the state. Rich in plant and wildlife communities, Suttle Lake is a natural place to deepen your connection with the Earth and develop a lifestyle of loving interdependence with all beings.

Clothing

  • Jeans/long pants/shorts
  • Shirts/tops
  • Rain gear
  • Light jacket/sweatshirt
  • Heavier jacket (depending on the weather)
  • Socks/underwear
  • Shoes (2 pair—one that can get wet for creek wading & hiking boots/sturdy walking shoes)
  • Swimsuit SPEEDO TRUNKS AND BIKINIS NOT ACCEPTABLE
  • Pajamas

  • Sleeping bag/pillow
  • Towels (at least 2)
  • Personal hygiene items (toothbrush, soap, shampoo)

  • Bible/paper/pencil/envelopes/stamps
  • Flashlight/extra batteries

  • Prescription medications (turned in to nurse/director)
  • Plastic bag for dirty clothes
  • A book you’d enjoy during your free time

What NOT to bring to camp

  • Drugs
  • Cigarettes/tobacco products/vapes
  • Weapons
  • Controlled substances
  • Pornographic material
  • Inappropriate or offensive clothing
  • Snack foods (these will be provided for you)
  • Cell phones

If any of the above are brought to camp, they will be confiscated and you may be sent home.

Any high school youth attending camp who drives to camp must turn in their keys to the director at the beginning of camp.

We do not guarantee the safety of electronic items (CD players, iPods, etc.) and prefer they are not brought. They will only be used at flat on bunk time to help people sleep. They will be confiscated until the end of camp if they are being used in a manner that is not within the rules of Camp.
