Over twenty percent of the Oregon congregations have started their ministries in the twenty-first century. Four current congregations began their ministry in the pioneer days, over one hundred fifty years ago.
Many of our congregations share space with another congregation or meet in a home or online.

The View Christian Church Portland
The View Christian Church meets primarily on-line via zoom. We do get together quarterly for in person worship. Pre-pandemic we were a house church that traveled: each week meeting in a different member’s home in the greater Portland Metro area. In early 2020, we began to meet virtually. Our members join us from Portland, Salem, Hillsboro, Battleground, WA and from Florida. Our worship includes music, prayer, communion, scripture, and dialog about the scripture of the day. Everyone contributes to the discussion as we learn from each other. We are a small group with a huge heart for our neighbors. We support Path Home (formerly Portland Homeless Family Solutions) by providing sack lunches and a hot meal once a month. Each November we collect new socks, underwear and pajamas which we distribute to service providers in the Portland Metro area. Our Mission Statement is: Worship God. Make Disciples of Jesus Christ.
